Return Policy
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition as you received it 14 days from the day of purchase. E-mail us at orders@meanwhilebackonthefarm.com describing your issue in detail and identifying it as either a return or a defect. We will respond as soon as we can to verify the eligibility of your return or exchange. Your refund will be issued in the form you paid or a store credit. You can expect your refund to reflect in your bank account within 5-7 business days.

Damaged Bags
We stand behind our product and craftsmanship. If there is a defect with your bag and it falls under manufacturing, we will be more than happy to replace the defect. Life happens and we have seen a few different scenarios. We are not responsible for any spills, stains, tears or broken straps that are not manufacturing defects. We can give advice on how to help any situation and can replace straps for a small fee. Feel free to contact us with any questions that you have.
Custom Orders
See something you love but want to switch the leather/wax or lining? You are able to do custom orders! Smaller goods are $25 in addition to the price of the bag and all others are $40 in addition to the price of the bag. With that custom fee you are able to change the leather/wax, lining, strap and zipper color. Adding pockets is an additional cost outside of the custom fee.
*Custom orders are not available online you must call or email us as there are details that have to be discussed with us. We do suggest looking over the website to view the styles and colors!

Strap Length
We receive a lot of questions in regards to strap lengths! Feel free to call or email for help as we have a few different strap lengths. Lengths can differ per size of bag, height and personal preference. If you purchase the wrong length, exchanging is super easy as long as the strap has not been worn. If you are local you can stop in, if you are not, you can ship us your strap and we can send you the correct length.
Care and Cleaning
Care and cleaning for your bag is very simple. Leather will take on an unique character over time, slowly developing a patina, and taking on the life of the user. If you get an undesired scratch on your leather, rub it out with the heat of your hand to shift the oils and cover the scratch. If you would like to condition your leather, we recommend using Tad Coffin leather conditioner sold on our website. With wax canvas you can simply blot the undesired spot immediately with a dry white cloth to absorb the moisture. Avoid rubbing. If needed, mix mild dish soap with water (3:1 ratio) to blot the area. Keep in mind, the stain will look its worst on the day of the incident, but over time, the stain will disperse through the protein fibers and become part of the beautiful worn in look.
* We are not responsible for color transfer onto your wax or leather bag (including any color that might rub off from your jeans, clothing or any fabric). Please, be careful! Wash those new jeans, girl!

Second Hand Bags
We are SO grateful for your love of Meanwhile! The support that we have as a small business is amazing! Purchasing items second hand voids the guarantee of exchange/return or repair. We will be more than happy to help you in any way we can. Please remember that purchasing directly from us, with proof of purchase (order number/receipt) we are able to repair or return/exchange within the appropriate time frame from purchase. Gift Cards
Gift Cards - Not sure what to get - we offer gift cards! You can come in the store and purchase but we do have electronic gift cards if you are not local. You are able to purchase and get that information emailed to you or sent directly to the special person you are gifting! There is no expiration date and they can not be exchanged for cash. If there is a certain amount you would like to have that you do not see on our website give us a call and we can help you with that specific amount you would like.
